this book had me crying, smiling, laughing, stressing, and the list goes on. i felt EVERYTHING. i am so attached to these characters i adore them with all my heart!

As a romantasy reader, I found the balance between fantasy and romance in this book slightly different from the first two books, which were more romance-centric.

Let's talk Nesta – she went from someone I couldn't stand to someone I now love. When she cried out for Cassian was the moment she became my favorite character of this book.

As for the story…

Probably a controversial take, but I felt bad for Tamlin. I would love to see a novella from his eyes where he eventually does face his inner demons and finds happiness. He was so supportive, understanding, ever patient and KIND in the first book. He was willing to give up everything for Feyre, An absolute thrill that was completely action packed start to finish. Since the previous books took care of the relationship and character building, this book felt like it was all action.

As for the story…

Probably a controversial take, but I felt bad for Tamlin. I would love to see a novella from his eyes where he eventually does face his inner demons and finds happiness. He was so supportive, understanding, ever patient and KIND in the first book. He was willing to give up everything for Feyre, too far in the extent of Prythian, but he cared for her more than anything. It was so sad to see that all thrown away, with Rhys sweeping in as saviour almost too easily. Of course, Tamlin’s honor was redeemed twice in this book (first with saving Feyre in Hybern’s camp, then when summoning the Autumn Court/human army to battle). But I felt like this book could have given him a better opportunity to mend his mistakes than with just “Be happy, Feyre.”

So glad to have finally learned about Mor’s inability to reciprocate feelings for Azriel. But kind of a cop-out in my opinion. And the fact that she’s been stringing him on for 500 years is the most infuriating thing ever. Az deserves better. I am not a Mor fan.

You know who else deserves better? LUCIEN. His past SUCKS. He’s really been through it all and has been displaced not once but TWICE. And then he gets a mate who barely notes his existence??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Lucien has always been a stand-up guy. I’m calling straight bullshi-

Speaking of Autumn boys… Eris. I really hope his character gets more developed. Throughout this book we were given so many glimpses in which he may actually not be the bad guy as perceived. There seems to be reasons behind his ill-mannered actions and I hope we find out what they are.

The scene with the Suriel… choking sobbing throwing up. That is all.

I don't even know where to start with this one... u know, there were so many things happening so at times it got a bit chaotic, but all in all, this was a fun and intense read. I'm so happy we got to know the high lords (and ladies (officially or not)) of the other courts and Elain, Nesta, Cassian, Mor and Az <3 they have my heart. And Lucien I just keep feeling bad for u know, nothing is going his way. Tamlin is Tamlin, but sometimes (very rarely) I feel bad for him (iykyk). ...more

yes it took me nearly a year to finish this and put me in a huge slump. was it also one of my fav books? yes. i started it im march last year and never got to reading it again but i got back into it this month and LOVED IT.
