I haven’t read The Assassin’s Blade yet, (I’m choosing to read that one third) so this is my first introduction to the series. I thought it was a bit predictable and nothing super unique or groundbreaking happened, but I feel that’s pretty typical for firsts in series because they have to set everything up. I liked this book overall and it made me excited for the rest of the series! Really easy read and easy to follow world building so far.
