I listened to this on audio and really enjoyed the narrator. The story was fast paced and left me constantly guessing what was really happening. I thought I had most of the twists figured out but I was wrong. The ending felt a little rushed, otherwise this was a solid thriller. This was my first book by Freida McFadden and I am excited to read more!

What a crazy ride. I’m glad there were several twists throughout the book and I didn’t completely guess the plot of the book. This wasn’t as good as some of her other books

The only reason I gave this more than 1 star is due to the fact that it is a quick read that served some entertainment. I didn't hate it. But that's about the extent of the praise I'm willing to give it. I am pretty shocked that it has so many 4- and 5-star reviews. The writing was mediocre, and I almost couldn't get passed what another reviewer referred to as "aggressive spoon feeding." Perfect description. However, it was quick, it was entertaining. I'm torn about this book. I like it, but the twists are so out of left field. This is my issue with most of her books though is that there is no real foreshadowing, the final twist tends to come from nowhere with no signs or real explanation. I love her books but it's just a lot. ...more
