First of all, for those of you who like spice, I would place this firmly at about a 2 BUT this is the first in a series, so I hope this dial gets turned up.

At times, I didn’t feel as completely immersed as I had hoped, and it didn’t grab me to the point where I felt I had to finish it in one sitting. However, this is a minor critique because, overall, A Fate Inked in Blood is a thoroughly captivating and enjoyable read.

The ending of the book is a gut punch, leaving you eagerly anticipating the next installment. I can’t wait to see how Freya’s journey unfolds as she becomes the warrior and leader she is destined to be. I highly recommend this novel to fans of epic fantasy, Norse mythology, and slow-burn romance.
