Did not love tbh, but the ending did take me by surprise so that was redeemable! Probably will not be moving on and reading the next book, though I think the author has a real chance to better the storyline, I just don't trust it. I hope the Bridge Kingdom wasn't like this because I am actually excited to read that series.

2.75⭐️ I really wanted to like this book but it was sooooo boring until the last 15%. I really disliked the FMC she was whinny and annoying. The MMC could have been stronger and the banter could have been better. All these things, and the fact the ending was totally predictable are the reasons I gave it 2.75 rating. OK reading this book was very tough for me. I will take into account that I did listen to it and skimmed the physical book. It was so slow until the last like 10 chapters and then it got interesting but reading this book was like pulling teeth for me. The different words, the names I don’t know something about it was just off but if you like fantasy books or plot twist then this is a great book for you.
