A solid world building book that made me excited for the rest of the series. It had great pacing and character development. The world was easy to understand and although it wasn’t necessarily a riveting read, it was a solid fantasy that set up a world with a lot of potential. I’m really looking forward to the next book!

I wasn't sure how to rate this, I was torn as I was reading it if I liked it or not. Until, of course, about the last 50 pages. I almost DNF this, but told myself to keep going, and was happy I did.
This was my first Norse mythology read so it took me some time to get my feet on the ground of where I was, all the different names of the places and the people involved.
