This was a hard book to put down, I read it in 5 or 6 sittings and I’m not a very quick or experienced reader. First of all I loved the pace of storytelling. It is constantly shifting between a handful of POVs and multiple points in time all steadily building a vivid world set during WW2 and developing characters you can empathize with. With not many pages in between POV changes it helped me personally to stay engaged, turning the pages always itching to get back into each POV until they become
