I was late hopping on the bandwagon but thank booktok I finally got on it.

This book was such an easy read, from the first chapter to the last I loved it.

I don’t even have the words to describe how great this book was, so I’m happy to say it’s my first 5⭐️ read of 2024!

Loved it! Overall a really captivating and engaging story and you really feel for the characters by the end of the novel. Totally shed a tear or two along the way. This author's version of Hollywood felt so very lived in and extensive that I found myself rushing through the present timeline to get back to Evelyn's past. Each character felt very well constructed and I enjoyed both Evelyn's & Monique's journeys(Evelyn's more than Monique's, but we can chalk that up to the glitz and glamour of Old ...more

No cuz why am I crying?!! Harry!… HARRY!! The strength of a woman that is Evelyn Hugo!…with all the crap she dealt with and the losses she suffered. She was definitely no angel, but in the end you couldn’t help but feel compassion for her. And Celia!!

It reminds us of how tough things were for our older generations, and how tough they may be for the generations that come after us. But this book teaches us to live our lives, unapologetically! Cuz what a shame it will be to see how many years we w ...more
