Wow, I really enjoyed this book. I love old Hollywood and this book was exactly that. I envisioned Evelyn Hugo to be Elizabeth Taylor (with all the glitz, glamour and beauty). I enjoyed learning about Evelyn's life and career and the obstacles she overcame to have said career. I loved the twist towards the end, when we find out why Evelyn chose Monique to write her life story. I'm excited to read more books by this author, she captivated me! ...more

Another wonderfully provocative and character driven story by this author. I again fully believed the characters, felt sorrow and joy along with them and never wanted the story to end.

I also highly recommend the audiobook for this. It was like listening to a play.
