This book should be illegal for being this entertaining...

Starting this, I thought it was going to be like her other books. Somehow it is, but at the same time, it isn't??
It has her same writing style and clichés, even the cringes, but hell, I lost myself within the first 50 pages and found myself literally at the end.🫠

Might be the Wattpad girl in me, but I note this one to be fairly well-written.😂🫣 Knowing this is an arranged marriage, I was expecting animosity between the two and definitely an

Ali Hazelwood is an auto-buy author for me and since starting her science romances a few years ago, I’ve gotten into fantasy so I was excited to see her foray into this genre. I had to do some googling about omegaverse and honestly was a bit afraid going in, but I enjoyed this book! It was pretty mild (for omega I think?) and the romance was sweet. The search for Serena was interesting, and I liked Misery’s general attitude. Another pleasant reading experience by Ali Hazelwood!

When I heard Ali Hazelwood and fantasy together I was so psyched... but honestly I was a little disappointed. For someone who can put me instantly in the feels in previous novels- no matter how similar they are- I found myself a little board and unamused. I wanted to like this book and in the end I did, but the romance felt like everything I've read before and the new material felt boring. ...more

This book had me in a CHOKEHOLD the entire time it’s my favorite read this year.
The ending is set up for a second book but in Serena’s story and I’m so fucking excited.
The little quotes from Lowe in the beginning of every chapter was genius and such a good addition to this amazing book.

🌶️

How did this author make blood sucking seem hot AND also make me cringe so ferociously with the whole “knot” bits?? 🥴🥴🥴🥴
Typical Ali Hazelwood novel. Mediocre writing, nonexistent physical descriptions, ‘smart’ FMC who wouldn’t see a brick if it hit them in the face and an obsessed MMC who is about as flavorful as an uncooked potato. With this being a paranormal, the world building was garbage as well.
What was different between this and a paranormal wattpad romance? A publishing deal?

Vibed until the end and then things got odd and it wrapped pretty quickly. I’d say this is more of a 3.5 imo! Would def read another one of this author’s books. Misery is a great main character!
