I’d give it 3.5 ⭐️It’s a warm and hopeful story, which feels quite suitable for the chaotic world we live in, offering a sense of miracles. The writing is beautiful, especially the interactions between Marcellus and Tova. My favorite part is Marcellus’s diary—pure and genuine. However, I’m not a big fan of Cameron. Although he is the main character, he comes across as a whiny kid who thinks the world revolves around him. If that was the intention, it’s a successful character build. Overall, it’s ...more

Haven't read a book like this in a while. Quite an unique story - talking octopus, disappeared child, grieving mom, emotionally broken people. Kind of a sad story with happy ending. Light and quick read. Relatable, well-developed characters.

The only issue I had was the timeline/contnuity, which didn't seem to have passed good editorial review. ...more
