This. Book. 
I did not know what I was signing up for when I started to read this. I thought it was a book about two friends that make games but it was so much more than that. I know nothing about video games - and it didn’t matter. This book follows the lives of Sam and Sadie from childhood to mid adulthood, through disability, painful relationships, depression, and tragedy. This book is not about games. It’s about them as people - and the way the games kept them connected.
