Talk about a slow burn. I’m through the whole first book, and we’re still at a simmer—nowhere near a boil. And don’t even get me started on the FMC.
Yes, she’s well-meaning. Yes, she was sheltered. Yes, there are extenuating circumstances. But come on—her frontal lobe is clearly out to lunch. The decisions? Horrendous. The planning? Nonexistent.
