Such a disappointment! A great premise, plus a lot of hype = high expectations. But sadly, they weren’t remotely met. I haven’t read anything from this author before. I don’t know if she usually writes fantasy, as it’s not at all well done. The world-building is overly complicated, and not well woven into the story. In the year of 2024, are we still so lazy for insta-love connections between the main characters? Yes, it appears so. With such a shallow relationship, it’s hard to care! I felt like
