To think this is her debut novel? Like, what? This book is an absolute chef's kiss and easily one of my favourite books this year. I love the world-building, and I agree that it does give off Hunger Games vibes. However, after the middle half of the book, I can see the change in direction Lauren is trying to pursue—especially with THAT ENDING??

It’s like the hunger games but spicier. Just as addictive of a read as ACOTAR. I’m sitting here drumming my fingers waiting for Reckless to be released.
WOW!! This was so good. Already pre-ordered the next book - cannot believe the ending. The tension between Kai and Paedyn, the drama, the betrayal. This book has everything you need. In love!!

Everyone and their mama is on their knees for this book ,but I didn’t see it unfortunately. Don’t get me wrong I liked it ,and will be waiting for the second book I just don’t see how it’s some people’s #1. I think the second book will be much better with how it’s set up !
