I'm excited to bring you the second McAlister Family Novel to tell the rest of the story for Garth and Grace McAlister! The four McAlister siblings were separated ten years earlier when the three youngest were sent to Canada as British Home Children in a child emigration scheme. Their oldest sister followed them to Canada and was able to bring one sister home to England, but Garth and Grace remained in Canada. As No Journey Too Far opens, Grace is still missing, and Garth has recently returned f

An excellent and exciting sequel!
The way she weaves faith into this story is beautiful.
I love the McAllister family!

Outstanding Sequel!
Having read the first book of this series No Ocean Too Wide I was eagerly looking forward to diving into this second book, No Journey Too Far to follow up with the McAlister family ten years later, in 1919. It was well worth the wait, as this book was an absolutely fabulous conclusion! This novel checked off all the boxes for me about what I love in a great inspirational and historical novel: wonderful characters, strong faith themes seamlessly woven into the story, page-turni ...more

This is my first encounter with this author and it won't be my last. This is the second book in this series and I highly recommend that you read the first one as this one follows the characters from the previous story. When I started this one I realized that so I quickly grabbed it from the library and read it so I could get caught up with this one. I am so glad I did! It sets up this story quite nicely and gives you a bit more insight on the British Home Children. The setting of this story take

This exciting sequel to "No Ocean too Wide",captivated my attention right from the beginning. This story follows Grace Hamilton who was one of the British Home Children. Separated from her family at the age of seven, she often wonders what happened to her family. She finds her childhood trunk in the attic that contains clues to her past. She decides to find out the truth about her family. Meanwhile, her family is desperately looking for her. Her brother, Garth goes on a mission to find her. Alon

“No Journey Too Far” Carrie Turansky’s book 2 in the McAllister Family series is a wonderful read. This story picks up 10 years after “No Ocean Too Wide” with Grace’s story. If you haven’t read “No Ocean Too Wide’ I think you could still enjoy this book There is enough intermittent backstory explanations to new characters that can fill you in.
It was lovely to read the “what happens to_____?” questions that arose after “No Ocean Too Wide”. There are enough twists in the story that make you see t ...more

4.5 stars rounded up. This is the second of two books in the McAlister Family Series and is a continuation of the journey of the siblings, specifically Garth and Grace. I’m so glad I got a chance to read the first book before diving into No Journey Too Far. This book could be read as a stand alone but I feel like I got so much more out of it by knowing the background of the characters from the first book. Read that first if you get a chance!

Incredible
I can't say what I feel about this second and, possibly, final book in the McAlister Family series. It was perfect. I read it in almost one day. Once I started, I knew I'd need to read it straight through. And I did. ...more
