Wow, wow, wow! This is my favorite book thar I've read this year! It's beyond fantastic! The story is unique, and it touched my heart. I connected with the characters so much. The theme of friendship resonated with me.

Cathy Gohlke's Ladies of the Lake is one of the best books I've read in a long time! In this Split Time Novel, set both in Canada and the US, tells the story of 4 dear friends who met at school and as they grow into women their friendship is almost ruined forever due to decades long secrets. I love the Anne of Green Gables feel that the book had. This is a really touching story. I love historical fiction when it teaches me something new about history through a wonderful story.
The characters in the book were developed so well that I became emotionally attached to them while reading. This book is about forgiveness and what it means to be friends forever, no matter what happens. Sounds so easy, but it proves to be hard as life happens to each of us.
