What an absolutely fantastic story. I enjoy a good historical story and when you add in a mystery component, I am in reader heaven. This one has both plus an exciting ending which makes this a perfect read for me. One of my most favorite elements of the story though was the Faith element that Kimberley wove so well in to the storyline. What a beautiful story of The Lord turning our fears and hopelessness into trust and hope!!
I could relate so much to Emma Grace. She was a person in fear, always hiding, always looking over her shoulder for the next bad thing to happen to her. Ultimately God is in control and He can turn our fears into peace and rest in Him.

I've read a number of books written by Kimberley Woodhouse and Tracie Peterson. And I have enjoyed them all. So I felt certain I would enjoy a solo series from Woodhouse. I more than enjoyed it.
I loved the intrigue and romance and watching the characters work through their own personal struggles. I also loved the history included. It is wonderful to learn things while enjoying a good story.
