Short review:
Read this book for a light heart, laughs, and a touch of mystery.
Long review:
I had so much fun reading this book! I had gotten Authentically, Izzy at Baker Bookhouse when I was there for the Fiction Readers Summit, and while reading that and talking to Vickie about it, she told me I HAD to read Positively, Penelope, so of course I preordered it AND requested it from Net Galley. Now I REALLY need Luke's story to be released (Pepper, could you get on that, please?)!

This epistolary tale was an interesting one at that. We follow Penelope's story as she interns at a theatre in Skymar.
Penelope is an interesting blend of frills and brains. She weaves herself into the hearts of the people as age tries to do her best in saving a dying theatre.
The story is a blend of text messages and emails although most times incomplete, her heart and bubbly personality shine through the pages and you grow to love her more.

Hilarious. First book of this author’s that I have read.
I was startled to find it mainly consisted of emails to her (Penelope’s) family back in NC. But I soon settled into this unusual style and was rooting for Penelope’s success in her intern job to promote a failing theater on a Scottish island.
Found her sister Izzy’s book at used book store and have that one to read next.
Musicals, princesses, singing and dancing are very prominent in this most unique tale. Bravo Pepper B !

LOVE this story! The audio is absolutely fantastic!
After reading (listening to the audiobook) of Authentically, Izzy, I knew I would have to get to Positively, Penelope A.S.A.P. These stories were a newer style for me to read: not only a contemporary novel, but mostly epistolary, and I loved them!
I adore the family relationship of the Edgewoods; I am a little envious that they communicate so well and freely, all with a sense of love, care, and concern, that just isn't found with anyone. That ...more

I finished Positively Penelope on audio and what a delicious delight this book was!! 🤩 Oh my goodness it was like my own adult version of Candyland but with swoony grownups. Penelope is in her element in this book and she absolutely shines! Pepper Basham is an amazing writer and I am so looking forward to Loyally Luke which comes out in April 2024. I do highly recommend reading Authentically Izzy first. This series is best read in order.

I loved this book! I recently finished reading Authentically, Izzy. When I saw that the 2nd book in the series was being released soon, I was thrilled! Positively, Penelope was a beautiful read. I loved Penelope in Authentically, Izzy, but this novel brought her true character more to light. Penelope is genuinely sweet, energetic, and full of wonderful ideas to help save the theater where she is interning. She touches the lives of everyone she meets. Pepper Basham is an awesome writer and does a

Positively Penelope did not disappoint! I was so afraid that it would not be as good as the first book but it was. I laughed outloud and often found myself wishing I could be in Skymar with Penelope & Matt! Sweet friendships, theater, family and love all wrapped together in one amazing story. Pepper Basham, you did it again.

I adored Authentically, Izzy, but Positively, Penelope outdid it. This book kept me engaged from the first page to the last. Loved the musical theater references! It was positively perfect in every way.
I've never been a fan of epistolary novels, but this series is incredible.
The texts between the siblings (and cousin) are adorable and feel so real. I cannot wait for Luke's story.
Highly recommend! All the stars! ...more
