I really really really liked Authentically, Izzy- but let me tell you- I LOVED Positively Penelope! Penelope is definitely one of the most positive characters ever! She is fun, organized, adorable, and downright jolly 99% of the time, and reading her story was a blast! She was the perfect match to her hero, even though she took a while to realize it. It was a delight seeing Skymar and family interactions through her eyes. I thoroughly enjoyed all the musical references, though there were a few I

Oh. My. Stars. And. Garters! ( that’s a phrase Penelope would love!)
This story made my heart so very happy! I adore Penelope and Matthias and Iris and Grandpa Gray and so many more characters in the fantastically delicious tale of Positively Penelope!
Pepper Basham just has a way with female heroines who don’t need rescuing but are delighted when they are, and the male heroes are perfectly flawed and have your heart from the moment you’re introduced.

Pepper writes the best stories! I always know that if Pepper wrote it, I’m pretty much guaranteed to love it. Penelope is no exception to that rule. This story is charming and delightful and positively perfect! Penelope is impossible not to love and Mathias is pretty wonderful too. I also loved that at least one scene in the book reminded me a bit of one of my favorite movies ever “Enchanted.” I also loved grumpy Luke and all his Rambo references. There is one character that I wanted to complete

This epistolary tale was an interesting one at that. We follow Penelope's story as she interns at a theatre in Skymar.
Penelope is an interesting blend of frills and brains. She weaves herself into the hearts of the people as age tries to do her best in saving a dying theatre.
The story is a blend of text messages and emails although most times incomplete, her heart and bubbly personality shine through the pages and you grow to love her more.

This series is at the top of my list for 2023! I honestly don't know where to begin. The story is unique and draws the reader in quickly. The characters are rich and fully developed.. not flat words on the page. The setting is lovely. And the dialogue.. oh the dialogue! This is where Pepper shines. The banter between Izzy, Luke, Penelope and even Josephine is so like banter I see between my kids and others in our family and close friends. Add in the back and forth between Matt and Gwen and then

Hilarious. First book of this author’s that I have read.
I was startled to find it mainly consisted of emails to her (Penelope’s) family back in NC. But I soon settled into this unusual style and was rooting for Penelope’s success in her intern job to promote a failing theater on a Scottish island.
Found her sister Izzy’s book at used book store and have that one to read next.
Musicals, princesses, singing and dancing are very prominent in this most unique tale. Bravo Pepper B !

I finished Positively Penelope on audio and what a delicious delight this book was!! 🤩 Oh my goodness it was like my own adult version of Candyland but with swoony grownups. Penelope is in her element in this book and she absolutely shines! Pepper Basham is an amazing writer and I am so looking forward to Loyally Luke which comes out in April 2024. I do highly recommend reading Authentically Izzy first. This series is best read in order.

Just when I thought I couldn’t love a book family more, along came Positively, Penelope. I absolutely loved Authentically, Izzy and this book is even better! Penelope’s character really stood out in the first book so I couldn’t wait to read her story.
Penelope is a ray of sunshine that we all need in our lives. She does everything with joy, is prepared for anything, loves big, and enjoys making others happy. Oh and did I mention she carries a huge “Mary Poppins bag” and loves hats and shoes?

I loved this book! I recently finished reading Authentically, Izzy. When I saw that the 2nd book in the series was being released soon, I was thrilled! Positively, Penelope was a beautiful read. I loved Penelope in Authentically, Izzy, but this novel brought her true character more to light. Penelope is genuinely sweet, energetic, and full of wonderful ideas to help save the theater where she is interning. She touches the lives of everyone she meets. Pepper Basham is an awesome writer and does a

Such a fun read.....I think that I smiled pretty much through the whole story. I loved the quick wit of Luke to Penelope, that wonderful brother/sister relationship. I can just imagine my brother responding in the same way. 😅 I really liked Matt too and his interactions with Penelope. Definitely looking forward to Luke's story.

The second book in the Skymar series, I think I loved it more than the first! I think I am more like Izzy, but I want to be (or I need) a Penelope! One minute I was laughing out loud, the next I was all teary, though usually about heartfelt moments. This story is such a happy sigh, and I can't wait to read Luke's story next! To find a romcom with characters who have so much depth makes it so meaningful to me. I highly recommend!
