"We’ve never been promised a life without darkness, but we have been given hope that one day all darkness will be replaced with light."

Another reviewer said this book was like if Peace Like a River and The Notebook had a baby, and that's EXACTLY IT.
EXCEPT Come Forth As Gold is also Christian, and that makes all the difference (seeing as I didn't like either of those books because they weren't and were therefore depressing😆).

WOW.

Set in 1940's, post second world war Nevada, Claude and Kitty are inseparable, childhood best friends but when Kitty's father ends up in prison, neither of them could predict the events that were to follow.

Claude's journey to faith is just beautiful, and the Christian aspect of the story is what makes it so profound.

A heartbreakingly beautiful story that overtakes every other book I have read, it genuinely blew me away!
