Oh my goodness! I loved this story! This was my first book I’ve read by Jennifer Deibel and now I need to read more. Her writing is just wonderful. Brianna is like Cinderella, with her guardian, Mistress Magee, making her work so hard as a maid at Ballymacool and horrible treatment of her. I love how Brianna works so hard but is still the sweetest person. She loves to spend time under her special tree. She also spends time with an older lady named Finnuala.

Come visit Ireland with me!
As soon as I started this book, I was completely engrossed. I had never read anything by Jennifer Deibel before, but the beautiful way she uses language makes me want to read all of her books!
I was so enamored that I forgot to take notes, so here's my summary:

I loved this so so much! A beautiful Cinderella retelling and to me it had a dash of A Little Princess vibes going on but fully and completely its own story!
Brianna and Michael were amazing! The side characters were brilliant, the setting was wonderful, a little twist I didn’t see coming, a dash of faith and a truly beautiful story of finding identity.
…and lots of cuppa’s!
The narration was so beautifully done, I had a hard time hitting the pause button. Such a beautiful Irish accent.
