I have really been enjoying the Wyoming Sunrise series and this book focuses on John Mark Eliason, whom we met in Forgotten Memories when he was still in his youth and attending school. Now he is an adult and the deputy of the town of Poplar Springs, Wyoming. His heart for both compassion and justice was made evident through his actions toward the people in his town. I really liked how Hannah clung to her faith in God and her integrity even though she was alone in her family and pretty alone in her community. Her situation piqued my interest and the plot kept me turning pages. John Mark was an earnest, lovable hero. He and Hannah were both put in challenging situations where they had to make hard decisions, and I was anxious to watch them learn to depend on each other and see their relationship grow. This is a fantastic book with fabulous characters! It's set in the beautiful but wild town of Poplar Springs. John Mark is swoon worthy! He's a protector at heart and solid in his faith. Hannah is a sweet and loyal person. She lives with a despicable father but maintains her faith in God. The love story is sweet and tender.
