Dusk’s Darkest Shores brings Regency England to life with a delightful and inspiring romance that is sure to warm readers’ hearts. They will fall in love with the strong but wounded hero, Adam Edgerton and the kind and caring heroine, Mary Bloomfield. This delightful story will keep you turning pages until you reach the very romantic and satisfying ending. Well-written and highly recommended!

I loved the premise of this story. Interesting from the start I wanted to see how it would all play out.
I loved getting to know Mary, smart kind and thoughtful. Though seen as a wallflower by some, I love her spirit and how she carried herself. She strong on the surface and blunt took when needed but beneath all that strength is a girl with a tender heart. I love how she took care of Adam being a friend when needed and a firm hand when necessary. It was an absolute delight to see their relation

Absolutely amazing! Definitely tragic but it’s really good. Great writing! Great Christian Content. Mmc has recently become blind and struggles with it. FMC helps take care of him. Has a happy ending.

Content(SPOILER ALERT): rape(referred to, and woman suffers with the after effects), poison, death occurs(woman tries to abort baby by taking poison and they both die, this scene is pretty intense)

Carolyn Miller has done it again, crafting a heartfelt and inspirational tale that will delight readers of sweet Regency fiction! Carolyn Miller is one of my must-read authors and it was with great anticipation when I picked up Dusk’s Darkest Shores, the first book in her new Regency Wallflowers series. Taking place in England’s beautiful Lake District, this book made me feel as though I were right there, with the vivid and scenic descriptions presented.

Mary and Adam’s story tugged at my heart a

Dusk’s Darkest Shore is a pure Regency delight set in the Lake District in England. Carolyn Miller gives you all the feels in this amazing love story. I was drawn in from the beginning and did not want the story to end.

I felt so connected to main characters Mary Bloomfield and Adam Edgerton. Carolyn Miller writes beautiful and tender scenes between Mary and Adam as we follow their journey from acquaintances to two people who are deeply in love. Her secondary characters added to the story and I

Our heroine is Mary Bloomfield who, now that she’s in her late twenties, has more or less resigned herself that she will probably never marry. (It seems like late teens is the commonly accepted age for marriage in these types of stories.) She’s the daughter of a doctor and often helps her father with some of his cases.

Our hero is wounded soldier Adam Edgerton who has returned home from the war in France to recover as best he can. At the beginning of the book he is engaged to a flighty friend of

It was a pleasure and delight to read Dusk's Darkest Shores. The Regency period is becoming another of my favorites (have I mentioned I love historical fiction?!). This is well written, with well defined and complex conflicts. You will cheer on Mary and Adam as you observe their spiritual growth throughout this story.

One of my favorite passages: "God was good. The evidence lay in jeweled tones before her. She had seen His faithfulness time and again. Just because the sun might feel hidden for a

Thoroughly enjoyed this book by a new-to-me author. A unique premise, diverse characters and just the right level of tension. Mary comes across as a meek woman who fades into the background, but as the story progresses we see a stronger version of Mary emerge. At the same time, war-hero Adam is humbled to a level he never expected and has to be lifted up out of the muck to realize that God is not done with him even though his life has taken an unexpected course.

I love the ending... no details,
