Maybe you can’t judge a book by its cover, but it’s fair game to judge a book by it’s first page. Nick Carraway’s introspective observation proves time and time again to to be true; his very presence invites everyone to tell him things. I loved this and it’s so reminiscent of other books, yet so completely its own body of work.
