A little disappointed with the character and manipulative nature of John Rivers. Great book, great symbolism and message for its time by Brontë. Haunting, brooding, spooky, contemplative, funny. Captivates the manipulative and masterful nature of men to the women they take interest in during this time period, a truly happy and sensible marriage cannot happen unless both parties sacrifice themselves for each other.
