What Members Thought
There is way, way, way too much mythos behind the story. And I love it. (Believe me, I spent quite a number of hours reading up on the Targaryen family, and all the thought behind it is amazing.)
If you read A Game of Thrones, it will be like reading in the middle of things (in medias res), because there's a back story so big (like, so monstrous)... there's really no wonder why this guy is compared to J.R.R. Tolkien.
