4.5 stars!
I am shooketh like actually. This was one of those book that made me keep saying, “ and the hits just keep on coming.” I mean 😭. The plot twists and the ending was not what I was expecting, like AT ALL. So yes I really enjoyed this one and am anticipating the second book in this duology.

I was able to predict the plot twist at the end and I’m so proud of myself for it 😩🤌

Can we just talk about how oak has hooves. Like actual animal hooves. I physically could not finish this book.
My thought process:
- Hold up he's kinda cute
- stfu he's got hooves
- woah he might be toxic (yum)
- wait hes got hooves he can't be toxic
- what if he's totally hot and kinky like his brother
- he's got hooves
- hairy, full on horse hooves
- his horns could be kinda cute
- hooves

Anyway, nothing can compare to Jude and Cardan so all is well

Nevertheless, as magical as her realms are, her stories are typically less action-packed on a larger scale, and this one was no exception.

As fast-paced as this book seemed at first, there was only so much drive to move the narrative along. In retrospect, it was actually a rather la

So, I was definitely not the biggest fan of "The Folk of the Air" and when I finished it, it was not bittersweet, but idk this book makes me want to re-read them.

I thought that this book was going to be duel pov but it isn't (fyi) but I absolutely loved Wren's pov, and I love her character. She definitely had/has a lot more to unpack and I have reason to believe this book has a sequel but I'll need to google that.

The book's plot is that Oak is on this grand mission to save Madoc from the court o

i bought it in January (presale, even), and i couldn't finish it until now. that's the main reason why i give it a 3.5
