I don't even know how to describe my experience with this book... It had very positive aspects, but it also had many others that didn't fill my measurements. I expected and wished for something more from this read, but still, I liked what it delivered!
When I read the synopsis of this book, I got the idea that it would be a story along the same lines of Lukov With Love, a sport slow burn romance revolving around 2 of the sports I most enjoy reading about, skating and hockey. But, unfortunately, t I don't even know how to describe my experience with this book... It had very positive aspects, but it also had many others that didn't fill my measurements. I expected and wished for something more from this read, but still, I liked what it delivered!
When I read the synopsis of this book, I got the idea that it would be a story along the same lines of Lukov With Love, a sport slow burn romance revolving around 2 of the sports I most enjoy reading about, skating and hockey. But, unfortunately, there was not an inche of slow burn... Instead, the characters give in rather quickly and we end up with a plot filled with more stagnant and repetitive moments, many of which seem to only exist to fill pages. I feel like this book would be much more interesting and enjoyable if it were shorter. Despite this, I like the general idea of the story and especially the author's writing and the characters she builds, both main and secondary. Stacie and Nate, even at their most annoying moments, are very well developed and relatable characters. But it was the relationship of these two that I enjoyed the most, a healthy and respectful relationship. With just the right touch of smut for a NA, funny moments, but also drama and tension, even though some of them were a bit pointless, these are problems that we more easily saw happening in real life instead of those out of proportion dramas that seem taken out of a Mexican novella (yes Twisted Love, you're still on my mind ahahah)! The author really excels in the characters and the relationships between them. The secondary characters are built with just the right depth and are quite impactful in the story without revealing too much, leaving room for future books. I particularly liked Henry and am rooting here for a book where he is the protagonist. I don't think the author has made him so easy to adore for nothing... 🤭
An enjoyable read, tackling several important and current topics, with a range of diverse characters that alone make this book very worthwhile!

No because don’t even with me this is def now one of my top romance books it was perfection 😭I want to marry my own Nathan Hawkins like Anastasia is living the dream Fr. Every girl must read this book.

PS: i’m gonna start watching hockey now maybe???🤭

Second time around, still one of the best romance books ever. I need to meet my own Nathan Hawkins when I go to college and if I don’t, it’s not worth it 🙄

this book was a lot more spicier than I was expecting, I read it because I wanted to know what the hype was about. with that aside I LOVE sports romances, and I enjoyed the college romance. he may arguably be the best book boyfriend of all time. it took me forever to read this book because school was literally taking over my life but every time I got to sit down and read I was so excited. I will definitely be reading more books by this author.

So, I liked this book a lot! There was just a couple things that I couldn't get over, but other than that, it was stellar!
What I didn't like:
For some reason I didn't like Anastasia for the first 50%, but I didn't really have a reason (it's cause she was so mean to my man for no reason). Also, (view spoiler) ...more

This is not bad buti I’ve read a lot of sports romance book on the same age range but this is just too childish for my liking especially Aaron that S.O.B. Im looking forward to Henry’s book though.
