This is one of those books I love too much for words, so I’ll keep this short.

Some of the highest praise I can give a book is that it made me feel and think deeply. This book went above and beyond in those two categories. It was devastating, adorable, hopeful, unique, real and overall a ”I am coming to love him, in two different ways. Face to face, and word to word.

This is one of those books I love too much for words, so I’ll keep this short.

Some of the highest praise I can give a book is that it made me feel and think deeply. This book went above and beyond in those two categories. It was devastating, adorable, hopeful, unique, real and overall an incredible read. It left me pondering the characters, their circumstances and the world for days after I turned the last page.

Do yourself a favor and read this book, if we’re anything alike I know you’ll love it.

2nd Read: I love this book so much. it might just be the filmmaker mind in me but I love how the writing is detailed because I can imagine how it would be on a screen. 10/10 recommend. roman kitt is perfect and I don't think I'll ever forgive Rebecca for ending the book the way she did

i am so glad that i let myself get out of a slump before reading this. roman kitt is now 2nd on my book boyfriends list. i loved all the elements of this book so much and iris and roman are just *chef's kiss*

I cannot wait to read the second book!

I did not expect to like this book as much as I did. Based on the era and the premises of the story, I honestly thought I would struggle to get through this book. But it was the opposite. I loved it and got through it so quick, I could not wait to see how the story went.

It was so gripping and there was not a single part of the book that I did not enjoy.

Okay what. This was one of the most beautifully romantically tragically magical books I’ve ever read. My heart is aching and confused and sad and warm. I didn’t really know what to expect with all the hype around the book. But I get it. There’s something keeping me from giving this a 5 but I really love it
