whenever there's a massive booktok sensation and this one oddball rates it 1-star, i laugh at them bc im like - where did this dude's taste go? i never thought i'd be at the other end of that spectrum. 🙃

LIZ AND WES OWN MY HEART. can someone tell me where i could possibly find a Wes Bennett?? this will forever be a comfort book to me, i couldn’t put down this book at all, but I recommend this book if you really like romcoms, rivalry, enemies-to-lovers, boy next door neighbor. felt a roller-coaster of emotions for sure; and i most definitely love the mentions of taylor swift, metallica & popular romcoms.
Bout freaking time I reread this brilliant masterpiece. I like my old review so I’m just going to leave it below. And I don’t rly have anything else to add. But yeah this book makes me so happy and I’m a little pissed at myself that it’s taken me this long to reread. 😂

I haven't been in a very ready mood lately, like I've been having a lot of slumps due to summer hw for school, but this book pulled me right out of any of my slumpiness, if even just for a few days.
Better Than the Movies was an excellent rom-commy book that filled me with so much love, joy, and sadness. The characters were great. The plot was cute and still really well thought out, and I just had an amazing time reading this book. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Such a fun and cute book, I’m so glad I finally got around to reading it. The discussions of grief are done soooo well, and the romance is absolutely amazing!

SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP I LOVED THIS BOOK! It had SO MANY good tropes and I vibe with Elizabeth Marisol Buxbaum on a molecular level. For example, we just read the Great Gatsby in L.A. 20AP, and Liz's opinions are mine. Plus, there's a playlist and it's so cute and who doesn't love a book that combines rom-coms, music (Taytay too, cause we love Swiftie authors!), and books?!?! Soo... Wesley Harold Bennet, where you at 👀

First off, I LOVE LIZ. I can relate to her so well. She’s a fellow ginger, likes to read, likes cats, falls for the brunette sporty guy, shy and awkward sometimes, makes a playlist for every occasion, and likes Taylor Swift - she just like me fr 😭
I need to talk about the Taylor Swift thing more because being a huge swiftie and seeing her songs being mentioned - made me love this book even more. NEW YEAR ...more

this book was so freaking cute. i find myself really relating to liz regarding her fashion sense, her love for music, and how much of a hopeless romantic she is. i’m a sucker for an enemies to lovers romance. this book literally had me giggling and smiling at my book. i also love all of the taylor swift references and rom com quotes.

bro this book 😭😭😭😭😭. this book gives me hope in my delusional romantic dreams. liz is delulu like me fr. i saw myself a lot in wes and liz and i honestly can’t describe how it feels. the feeling of realizing who you truly love and then them being out of reach UGHHHHH. will forever be thinking of this book and the characters.
