What if you meet a stranger on a train and the next thing you know they are dead? This is what happens to Anna, a freelance journalist. When someone takes her purse but steals nothing she begins to get the feeling something more is happening. A mystery that keeps you guessing.

Absolutely blooming brilliant!!! It's taken me a couple of yrs since I read her first book, The evil beneath, which was also a 5 star read, to finally get round to reading this one, but I'm so glad I did! A great page-turner with plenty of action that really gets you thinking and I was rooting for Anna all the way (also a bonus that we share first names). I can't wait for the next book from A J Waines. A must-read ...more
