I didn't think Tijan could improve on her mafia stories after Carter Reed 2, but somehow she managed to upstage herself with Cole. It's the perfect organized crime centric story. You've got the dark brooding hero who is so bad he's good. You've got the heroine with a heart of gold, someone you'd like and who could be your friend. This was another great read by Tijan. Addison Sailor's life hasn't been the same since her husband Liam was killed. She pretty much shut down after that. She feels somewhat trapped in their home now so she decides to move out to a very exclusive building called The Mauricio. Her best friend Sia is the event coordinator at an art gallery called the Gala. After moving in to The Mauricio she meets Cole and she's drawn to him. Shelves: romance, spies, mafia, new-adult-romance

Sadly I couldn't get into this book as much as I wanted. I mean I didn't love Carter Reed and I guess that should've been my warning but throughout the entire book I was just OK. The main characters didn't grab me like they normally do.

Granted I will recommend Tijan to any reader asked of me I just think this series will go in the Immortal Prophecy series, I've read it and its not on my re-read list. Granted I am anxiously waiting for FC6 and FC7.
