She could not catch a break - not for one second.

That whole ending was a big OH SHIT moment. Can’t say I never saw it coming because I did but HOT DAMN what a buildup.

So tonight I finally got the chance to finish FCP and guess what my first reaction was? It was total and utter heartbreak. Not because the book is bad, not at all, but now I keep thinking about book four, Fallen Fourth Down, and I already know dear Tijan is going to fuck me up with that one.

She didn't really leave us with a cliffhanger, but let's just say it is not something you want a book to end with.

So tonight I finally got the chance to finish FCP and guess what my first reaction was? It was total and utter heartbreak. Not because the book is bad, not at all, but now I keep thinking about book four, Fallen Fourth Down, and I already know dear Tijan is going to fuck me up with that one.

She didn't really leave us with a cliffhanger, but let's just say it is not something you want a book to end with.
In true Tijan style, she made my day(s) with FCP. My first focuspoint is Sam, who, as told in my Fallen Crest Family review, had lost all of her spunk. Well, she definitely got it back.

Sam wasn't the same as in FCH, where she was untouchable and unstoppable. This makes sense, seeing as in the first book she didn't care. About anything. Now, she doesn't have that numbness anymore because she cares for the Kade brothers. Still, she stood up for herself, against the Tommy P's (read the book if you want to understand the reference). There was also no Analise, which was a huge relief and, I'm guessing, played a big part in Sam being all strong again.

There was a new thing, namely we actually got quite a few chapters in Mson's POV, which put an entirely new spin on things. It was refreshing to actually get inside of Mason's head for once and this cause a few mushy, awesome, I-want-that-man, "aww" moments.
In one way or another, Tijan managed to perfectly time Mason and Sam's POVs, so your were always eager to get to the next MC.

I am not happy, though, with the Sam/Logan breakdown thing. One part about these books I always appreciated was that there was no love triangle. I am hoping for it to stay that way in FFD, but Tijan did leave some things to think and doubt about before the book comes out. Marissa, among other things.

Nate was... surprisingly absent. He wasn't for the first part of the book, but then he was there in a not so good way. Things were a little too tense with him and then he just up and disappeared.

Still, this is one of my favourite series of all time, so obviously there must be some good things about it.
For example, I'm so glad Sam finally found good, strong friend who won't ditch her a the first sign of trouble. And there's also Mason Kade, and, no matter what, you won't ever convince me he is not perfect for Sam. The sex and the parts where they were just together.. It might've just given me a heart squeeze each and every time.

Loved it! Our local library does have this series on their shelf!

What can I say? Put a book in front of me with some kind of football in it and I’m going to read it. I actually think that’s how I first found the series. Football + High School in Amazon.com search.

Needless to say, I’m a huge fan of Tijan. I started first with Fallen Crest High and LOVED it from the start. Sam is a strong female lead and I do mean strong. Life can and does get to her but she doesn’t let it show to the outside world. I love the “let the world be damned” attitude. I want more books like that. Not girls fretting over not dressing right or will I get the boy.

I’m afraid to go into any description on book three for fear I’ll give everything away. But here are a couple of thoughts…

1. You’ll have two POV’s (point of views) in this book. Sam and Mason give you viewpoints as the story develops. I fell in love with Mason in this book. I always loved him as a character and partner for Sam but his POV just wowed me. Especially the statement he made to David. You’ll know which one when you read it!

2. I feel this books gives a very real viewpoint of what bullying is like in 2014. I feel every parents should read it just for that. It blew my mind what happened. Mean girls were beyond my knowledge of how far someone could and would go. This is coming from someone who experience bullying. It also shows you how administration can have their hands tied when it comes to mean girls.

3. I loved the fearsome threesome. I loved that they’re not considered a traditional family but stick together and by each other. Moving house to house and place to place as a unit. Each trying to protect the other.

4. Finally, I loved how Tijan doesn’t create drama to create drama. She doesn’t throw something in to move the story forward. How many times have you read someone getting in a silly situation and a misunderstanding happens. Then you spend chapters and chapters banging you head against the wall while shaking your fist. Seriously?! Not so here. Drama happens but communication happens as well.

This book is so good! As in 6 stars good. As in how did I manage to read a 354 page book in two hours? I literally did not breathe while I inhaled this book. It was as good as Fallen Crest High and I want more.

Sam, Mason, Logan, Nate, and the gang are back. I read the book so quickly I miss them already. I'm not a big fan of drama in real life or in the movies, but for some reason if it comes in the form of a Tijan book I'll devour it. ...more

How can I even review this book? Seriously, there are no words to describe the awesomeness of the Kade brothers and Sam. Right now my heart is just so happy to have finally read this book that my mind isn't ready to dissect all the things I loved about this book. I'm going to live in my Fallen Crest bubble for a moment longer then maybe come back to write a fitting review.

P.S. Go read this book now. Read all three. You have to experience it for yourself then pick up other books by Tijan. Every ...more
