“Fight Club,” without spoilers, is a psychological book. It’s a weird book, and it’s written in a style that takes a little bit of getting used to.
Anyone who has seen the film adaptation may find the book’s style a little easier to slip into at the beginning, because the narration in the film remained fairly faithful to that of the novel.
