This popular novel was recommended to me by two trusted friends. I never really got into it. It felt too heavy on both quirkiness and women in the workplace in the 1960s.

I know it is entirely too early to make this call, but I’m still doing it. This is my favorite read of the entire year and I’m sad I didn’t get to it even sooner. Elizabeth Zott is a wonderful character and I’m so glad I was able to find myself living inside her story for a little while. I gasped, laughed, even teared up a few times and I am so grateful that I read this book. Audiobook - this is actually my second time reading and I enjoyed it so much as an audio version! A fabulously empowering, meaningful and fun read either way but this time I gave it 5 stars 😊
I saw this had mixed reviews. I'm so glad I ignored the bad and continued on. such a great read.
