rick riordan has a way of making me love characters that's hard to explain.

the writing is clipped and unembellished. the worldbuilding is fun and creative but not exceedingly rich or insanely imaginative. the plot is quick-paced and entertaining but often formulaic. but the characters. for one reason or another, i always, always end up loving them.

I was really doubting this because the beginning was great but the middle was super slow for me. The ending was really good too but I guessed the ending a mile away 😭 maybe I just picked up this series too late where I just start guessing the patterns but either way imma continue with the next book
