What Members Thought
This is a book everyone should read. What is it like to grow up in a ghetto, hearing gunshots on a regular basis and watching friends/ loved ones get killed? Anyone who can stand back and judge them before understanding them needs to learn more. This book is an eye opener about what it is like and what the judgments do to the people who are only doing the best they can.

This should be required reading in high schools. It’s powerful and emotional and shows that what you see in the media isn’t always truth. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would as I can’t recommend this book enough.
Beautiful. Just a beautiful and powerful read. The movie was unreal, as well. Love this book and it’s truth of the scary world we live in.
