I debated between 3 and 4 stars, and finally settled on 4 stars. Even though I had some issues with the mechanics of the book, the content and subject matter were too powerful and insightful to give it less than 4 stars.

Authentic author voice. Hard hitting. So many feels. Well rounded and believable characters. Thought provoking.
