“Alice, it turned out, was no longer afraid.” Maybe my favorite line of the book because it was as I read it that I understood what each of the character stories were in the book.

The Giver of Stars | review
I started this book back in December, read a few pages, set it aside for library holds and then devoured it last weekend when I finally picked it up again. The Giver of Stars tells the story of five extraordinary women and their work to set up a rural, traveling library in depression era Kentucky.
✨ I loved Alice and Marge both so much! They are independent, brave and so strong. The other librarians were great role models in their own ways, too!
