The pack horse library premise was great, but the story of the women who face all hardship seemed fully milked to gain readers sympathy .
I didn't like how the story progresses

I really enjoyed this book, especially the friendship of the packhorse librarians. I loved learning about the historical elements. The characters were all so colorful and tangible. Wish there had been less swearing and some scenes left to the imagination. But the strong theme of the power of women and what they can do when they work together and stick up for the right, was totally worth it.
