What I loved most about it:

Zuzana's craziness!
The tragic love story of the angel and chimaera (loved it's narration)
How brilliantly Laini weaved the story, reminded me that the best stories out there are the ones with the best imagination and narration.

This book was pretty much awesome. I loved the world building throughout and the depth of love. I didn't love the very first part, with the art classes, and taint of crassness. But the writing was compelling and mysterious enough that I kept going. This story is a totally different approach to the idea of angels and demons among us. I really loved the characters and the intensity and feeling of emotions portrayed. It's a totaly fantasy book, so if fantasy isn't your thing, don't read it. But if

Angels, chimaera, and a curious girl with blue hair. Really enjoyed everything about this, from the mystery surrounding Karou's past and her chimaera family to the straight up Romeo and Juliet love story at the center. Cannot wait for book 2 in this series.
