pros:

addressed body hair in an honest and relatable way i’ve never seen done before.

academic rivals to lovers romance

diverse cast of characters without feeling forced. truly representative of a school and not some kind of forced, fake woke cast

layered, flawed, and strong protagonist who i just loved

familial relationships and friendships were delved into and what came out of them was meaningful and added so much to the plot

really enjoyed this book!!!! as a hair indian woman, yes, very much so. also the debate stuff wasn’t as traumatizing as i was expecting, thank you canada debate. and it was just very cute and fun and real!!!
