Really good read. Great mix of many different stories that really show the struggles of the different eras, and the prose was awesome. Does a great job of showing just how deep-rooted systemic inequalities are, and it was also super interesting to see how different characters' decisions had major impacts even a couple generations later (every time a character referenced something that happened like 3 chapters ago I was like :O). reread for postcolonial lit, hit just as hard in the end. some sections hit even harder. we still have 6 chapters to discuss but our discussions have made the book even better then the first read
