This is a re-read for me and I am so happy I returned to this amazing world with these amazing characters again. I decided to reread Hunger Games since the prequel came out awhile ago and the movie for it will be out later this year. I haven’t touched these books since middle school and there were a lot of details I missed out on.
The thing that took me by surprise right away was the violence aspect of the book. I knew there was violence but it never registered with me how nonchalantly it was referenced because it’s part of everyday life for the characters.
