So it’s possible when I first initially read this book that I may have judged it too harshly, mostly because I don’t typically like dystopian fiction and because it was so ubiquitous. Reading it again as an adult however I feel that I appreciate it more. Collins really paved the way for publishing trends with this one (with mixed results) but I was struck rereading it just how good of a story this is. Really did not want to read this at all, but my sister and my mom talked me into it over time. I am very glad they did. I absolutely loved it, I read it in 2 days which is way faster than I have read any book in a very long time.
UPDATED - I enjoyed this book so much, even months late I am flying through books. I have this book to thank for getting me back into reading.
