I will freely, but ashamedly admit that I prejudged this book. I read Gilbert's novels and loved them so I finally went for the big one and tackled Eat Pray Love. I also took a friends advice and listened to most of this on audiobook which was wonderful. I will admit that her attempt at accents in the later sections wasn't great, but overall I really enjoyed hearing this through her voice. The book has three words representing three distinct sections of the story. It's difficult for me to give a fair rating of this book because of the wide gap in my enjoyment of each section. But, here's my summary:
Part One - LOVED IT!

I actually really liked the first part of the book and especially liked the part when she is in Italy, but when she gets to India I just gave up...I thought the book was fairly self-indulgent and I kept asking myself, "who cares?" .....maybe because I felt like I had nothing in common with Gilbert, but more because I never really cared about her spiritual journey....
