I didn't know what this book was going to be about when I started reading it. But, I like elephants, so it seemed like I'd enjoy it.
The book is not about elephants.

read this in the middle of a hectic move and didnt give it my full attention. Definitely found it interesting enough to finish,but i didnt feel a lot of vested interest in the outcome. overall a good story. I think some of my favorite parts were the present day descriptions....
I LOVE this book. It immediately became one of my favorite books of all time. I never knew all the inner workings of the train circus and the story is incredible. Highly highly highly recommend to everyone.
Loved this book. Sarah Gruen creates a story into which you can't help but be drawn. The characters are fascinating. Highly recommended!
