What Members Thought

Ugh. It's obvious that this author can write and so many people seem to be obsessed with her work that I thought I would give it a try despite not being able to finish sharp objects but both main characters were just so unrelentingly unlike able that I just couldn't handle it. I hate when people use that excuse but really I could not have cared less what happened to these people. An unintentional positive side effect was that it's made me be nicer to my husband.

This one was somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. I appreciate that the book kept me pretty interested despite the fact that every character is awful, but the awfulness of the characters made it difficult to fully enjoy it. I also didn't really like the ending.

Wow! This book kept me turning pages. I really liked the way the author wrote the chapters. One from the husband's perspective & the next from the wife's. I heard many didn't like the ending, but I thought it was fitting.

This is a very well written book. I enjoyed the switching of the POV between the husband and the wife. I even enjoyed not knowing who to "root" for, since they're both pretty unlikable characters. I have to wonder about the mind of the author to have come up with a character like Amy Dunne. She (Amy) kept me guessing right up to the very last page.
I can't wait to see how this translates to the big screen. ...more
