What Members Thought
An interesting read; I understand why this book has gotten so much press lately. The subject matter is incredibly interesting and, sadly, still relevant today. I found the characters well developed and enjoyable for the most part, although I found some characters a bit cliche'. Overall an easy read; Stockett's writing style is straight-forward and easy to follow. I'll pick up her next book when it hits the shelves.

This is my third time attempting to read this...both time prior I coulds not get into the story at all, but decided to revisit it since I have not spoken with anyone who didn't enjoy it...about 1/3 of the way through and so far think the story is interesting but use of dialect is super annoying and not completely accurate...I will finish it this time..I'm far enough in to want to see what happens...
